Our Vision
“Delivering the Dream”
John Stanford was the inspirational superintendent of Seattle Public Schools from
1995 until his death from leukemia in 1998. He envisioned a world-class public
school system with an international school focusing on language and culture to
prepare students for success in a global village. JSIS is Seattle Public Schools'
first step in the development of a comprehensive, K-12 international education.
