DUE: Seattle Public Schools Family Partnership Advisory Committee nomination forms

Mon, Sep 21 3:00 pm

Dear Seattle Public Schools Parents and Guardians,

The School Family Partnership Advisory Committee to the Superintendent (PAC) is seeking to recruit new members.  The nomination deadline is Monday, September 21, 2009.  The PAC was formed to advise the Superintendent in implementation of the School and Family Partnerships Policy (E10.01).  This policy states that the PAC provides support and technical assistance to schools in order to help them integrate and institutionalize family and community engagement national best practices.  The committee will be comprised of parents/families/guardians who reflect the diversity of  Seattle Public School families.  The committee’s work involves one to two meetings a month, a presentation of the School Family Partnership report to the Superintendent and a presentation to the Seattle School board between October 2009 and October 2010.

To be considered for this advisory committee, please review the School Family Partnership Advisory Committee’s charge, complete the nomination form and send it to me by Monday, September 21, 2009.

Working together we can improve academic achievement for all students.

Respectfully,

Bernardo Ruiz
