JSIS was recently awarded $1750 by the Seattle School District for saving money during the 2008-2009 school year in the areas of refuse, water, and energy usage.

The school district's Department of Resource Conservation recommended JSIS to KING 5 because we saved money in all six categories tracked by the Shared Savings program and because of our new food waste collection program.
