Membership Chair:

Facilitate communication of the PTSA goals to the school community. Membership sign-up, payments and inputting of information with the WA PTSA.

Legislative Chair:

Attend PTSA and district meetings and disseminate key information on issues at the WA PTSA and SPS level to the PTSA Board.

Director of Communications:

Oversee PTSA communications to families and JSIS, Our World, and student directory. Be the liaison between JSIS school communications to the families.

Director of Sustainability:

Oversee environmental stewardship programs and identify new programs as needed. Submit articles to Our World and updates to JSIS website. Facilitate communications between JSIS teachers, principals, and school community on green initiatives.

Director of Fundraising:

Oversee all fundraising efforts to ensure successful programs are run to meet the PTSA goals. Review all new fundraising ideas for viability.

Director of Community Development:

Oversee all-school PTSA events to be the liaison between committees and the PTSA Board. Review of new community development programs for viability.

Director of Curriculum Enhancement:

Oversee curriculum enhancing activities such as Arts sponsored by the PTSA and stipend requests from staff and review of any new program ideas.

Director of After School Activities:

Oversee the ASA committee and manage a financially self-sustaining program that follows established guidelines established by the school and PTSA.

Director of Latina Affairs:

Oversees and understands issues that arise from the Spanish immersion program of JSIS. Serves on the La Fiesta Latina committee.

Director of Japanese Affairs:

Oversees and understands issues that arise from the Japanese immersion program of JSIS. Serves on the Japan Night committee.
